People who often call friends and family in other countries could have plenty to gain from trading in a mobile and switching to a new deal with O2.
The network has confirmed that it is reducing the cost of its international telecommunications.
Indeed, some conversations will now be available to consumers from as little as one pence per minute, with text messages setting users back only ten pence.
"We recognise that more and more time is being spent calling mobiles abroad. We're really pleased to be offering … customers calling card rates for making international calls," stated Sally Cowdry, consumer and marketing director at O2.
Both existing and new customers are assured that they are eligible for the offer, meaning there is no longer any reason to pay more for international calls.
O2 recently launched a new scheme via its Priority Moments tool that allows users to enjoy a number of great Christmas deals.
