Bank customers could be tempted to trade in their mobile phones in order to change to a device that supports a brand new app.
Lloyds TSB has launched a tool for those who have an account with it that can be accessed by people with phones that run on any of four operating systems.
Any mobiles on Nokia, Android, BlackBerry or Apple platforms will be able to support the app.
It can be used to enjoy easy access to money and to make payments while on the move. It is also the first such app to be released on all four of the leading operating systems at once.
Ashley Machin, director of digital banking at Lloyds TSB, said: "The use of mobile apps to assist day-to-day activities like banking on the go is more popular than ever, especially apps that provide customers with everything they need in one place."
Research by comScore recently found that mobile banking is growing in popularity, with some 32.5 million people in the US using the service in June alone.
