Although the official name of Sony's next Xperia mobile phone is still unknown, that hasn't stopped the rumour mill going into full swing.
More details have emerged about the device codenamed "Honami" and it indicates that the smartphone should arrive in at least one country by the end of the year.
Chief executive at Sony Korea Kenji Sakai has said the Xperia Z successor should arrive in the country before 2013 is finished, according to the Economic Daily.
A lot of excitement around the device concerns the rumoured 20-megapixel camera. Although this is only half the snapping power that Nokia has in its Lumia 1020, so it will be interesting to see which fares better.
It is still unclear when the next Xperia handset will arrive. The Xperia Z has been in the UK for a while now and rumours indicate that the next device would be revealed on July 4th, which obviously didn't come to fruition.
However, most people are now hedging their bets that Sony will choose its press event on September 4th at the IFA 2013 in Berlin to make the announcement.
