Enthusiastic gamers will be extremely excited to hear that Sony’s latest Xperia Z3 will allow users to stream Playstation 4 (PS4) games on its 5.2 inch screen.
Making the announcement at the IFA trade show, the Japanese company unveiled that the new device would be able to attach to existing PS4 controllers and will work via a special mount. This will allow users to play the games that are powered by the console’s processors.
The feature will only work if the user already has a PS4 and is sure to come in handy when you want to play a game but someone else is taking up the television.
This move is likely to make Sony’s smartphones stand out from its competition as it is propably going to be a hit with the numerous people who enjoy playing PS4 games. This is even more notable given the intensifying competition between the likes of Apple and Samsung’s ever developing products.
Sony users will be aware that there is already a Playstation App available for Android and iOS devices, however this specific app only acts as an extra screen when using the PS4 and shows extra content such as maps, rather than allowing you to actually play the game.
Sony will also be selling a DualShock 4 controller that will clasp to the top of the bit in which the smartphone will go.
At present, the feature will only be available for the Z3 version of Sony’s devices from November and it is unclear whether or not any other Sony smartphones will soon be following.
