The upcoming mobile phone from Sony has been heavily-rumoured since it was known under the codename of Togari. It means that when figures are released it is often hit by a lot of scepticism.
However, recent benchmarks from the XDA developer blog forums indicate that the Sony Xperia Tu will be a very powerful device that will leave rivals in the dust.
The screenshots indicate that the upcoming phablet will run Android 4.2.2 and the prototype featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with a Adreno 330 graphics capabilities.
It is thought the smartphone would sport a 6.21-inch screen with 1,080 x 1,824 resolution, dwarfing the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 and HTC T6, which could put it at the top of the phablet market.
