British consumers should be able to get their hands on brand new Sony Xperia SP and Xperia L mobile phones before the end of June.
The Japanese manufacturer’s latest additions to the popular line-up will sit alongside the flagship Xperia Z and more affordable Xperia U on shelves.
The SP model could attract customers looking for a delay-free internet experience, since Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology facilitates access to high-speed 4G networks.
It also boasts a 4.6-inch HD Reality Display screen and quad-core processor, while its sister sports a 4.3-inch display and dual-core CPU.
Each will be available in white, red or black, and will come pre-loaded with the Android Jelly Bean operating system, which provides access to the Google Play multimedia store.
Buyers will be able to take advantage of Sony apps like Walkman and Movies for longer thanks to Battery Stamina Mode, and can share content with their TV thanks to one-touch functions.
Director of marketing at the firm Calum MacDougall said: “Both of our new models benefit from Sony’s proven innovation and engineering expertise.”
