Sony may be about to reveal a new mobile phone in the Chinese market.
The new Sony C3 handset will have the MediaTek processors that are so popular across the nation. It will reportedly also carry a 5-inch display and a mighty quad-core processor.
Although it's not known whether or not the handset will travel outside of China or not, it's a notable move for Sony as it will be the first time it has included MediaTek's chips in its devices.
There are advantages to using these type of chips as they are cheaper than others on the market, which allows Sony to make more devices for a lower cost.
This is a smart move when targeting a Chinese audience as they tend to go for mid-range or low-end devices rather than the pricey handsets that are popular in the west.
