A growing number of people in the UK could look to sell mobile phones and invest in a Nokia device as a replacement in 2012, if one body's predictions are anything to go by.
Juniper Research has published its top ten forecasts for the year ahead, which include several relating to the mobile industry.
Among these, it said Nokia is likely to enjoy a return to immense popularity in 2012, largely on the upcoming release of the Windows 8 operating system release.
It suggested Nokia's surge could be great enough to cause a notable impact on the tablets market, as consumers increasingly turn to the Finnish brand.
The research organisation also predicted that m-commerce will continue to grow, driving the industry despite economic stagnation.
Nokia recently revealed that a special white version of its acclaimed N9 model is now on sale, with a high-gloss finish included to ensure that every device shines.
