Consumers who sell mobiles and subsequently begin the hunt for a replacement device might wish to splash out on the UK's favourite handset – the Apple iPhone 4.
According to new research by uSwitch.com, the model is now the most popular with technology fans in the country.
It has jumped two places to reach the number one spot in April, with the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire claiming second and third places respectively.
Ernest Doku, technology expert at the website, said: "HTC may still be dominating the top ten, but the fact that iPhone has risen to number one for the first time will take some of the gloss off."
Another big mover is Samsung, which saw its Galaxy II and Galaxy devices complete the top five.
The iPhone 4 was released in the UK, US, Germany, France and Japan last June and has since been rolled out across the world.
