People who want to improve their health and fitness could find that selling a mobile and switching to a deal with O2 does the trick.
That is because the network has launched an app specially for its customers that it hopes will encourage individuals to start walking.
The tool – which is named Healthy – has been developed by O2 Health and aims to make travelling by foot more sociable and fun.
Users will be able to track where they have walked on a map, which also displays details relating to distance and calories burnt.
"Healthy is the first consumer-focused product from O2 Health and represents our commitment to using technology to help people live healthy and more active lifestyles," explained Keith Nurcombe, managing director of O2 Health.
O2 has made a series of developments in recent times, including the launch of Twitter MMS, which allows users to upload pictures from their mobiles to the social network.
