The Finnish mobile telecommunications provider has revealed its Ovi Maps application on handsets is significant enhanced ahead of the holiday season.
People set to take a break either at home or abroad who feel the free navigation system may be of use could recycle an old mobile phone and put the cash towards a new Nokia model.
As well as simple route planning, Ovi Maps helps tourists and locals alike to identify the best places to eat, the most popular entertainment and nearby shops, spas and hotels.
The updated version contains Europe’s largest database of community-based reviews and offers information on more than 20,000 cities.
Nokia recently announced a deal with Yahoo that sees the mobile phone firm become the sole provider of Ovi Maps.
