Samsung Unpacked takes place tomorrow (March 14th), and the South Korean manufacturer is continuing to fuel speculation by releasing a teaser image.
On its @SamsungMobileUS Twitter account, the company said: "The countdown for #TheNextBigThing has begun."
It posted a picture alongside the comment, seemingly of the eagerly anticipated Galaxy S4 mobile phone in heavy shadow.
The curved shape of the body indicates that the next-generation device will have a design similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S3.
However, this could be a prototype image, since there is no sign of a front-facing camera lens or speaker.
British consumers who want to get their hands on the smartphone, which is rumoured to feature an impressive octa-core processor and 3D camera, can register their interest with Three.
The telecommunications operator said: "You’ll be able to enjoy all the internetting you want with all-you-can-eat data on our ultra-fast network – without paying a hefty premium."
