Samsung has posted a video on its blog advising customers to “get ready” for “something new” between January 8th and 11th.
These dates coincide with the 2013 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) event, which will take place in Las Vegas.
Senior vice president at CEA Karen Chupka said: “[It] will be the most important global technology event of the year.”
Mobile phone manufacturers often make important announcements and debut new gadgets at CES, so Samsung is motivating speculation of a Galaxy S4 release.
After winning awards like the T3 Phone of the Year and achieving over 30 million sales, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the most popular smartphones of all time.
The next version of the device is therefore highly anticipated, and rumours are rife about the design and specifications.
Analyst Nicolas Gaudois recently suggested that the handset will have an unbreakable screen, and it could also be equipped with a 13-megapixel camera.
