Head of communications at Samsung has confirmed rumours that the Galaxy S3 Mini mobile phone will be unveiled at an event in Germany tomorrow (October 11th).
The full-sized Samsung Galaxy S3, with its 4.8-inch screen, has recently scooped T3 and Mobile Choice Phone of the Year awards.
It is unknown whether the four-inch display reinvention will have the same features, like a quad-core processor, which helped make the original so popular.
The S3’s biggest competitor is the Apple iPhone 5 and by releasing a handset which has the same sized screen, Samsung is creating an even-more obvious rivalry.
The company may be able to capture customers who were previously set on Apple with the new, easier-to-hold device.
Consumers will find out tomorrow whether the new gadget will come boxed with the latest Google Android platform – Jelly Bean.
Galaxy S3 devices in the UK remain on the previous Ice Cream Sandwich version but customers should be able to upgrade soon.
