Rumours are circulating that Samsung is ready to unveil its new S5 smartphone in January 2014, with the hope of launching it to the public and media a month later.
Some experts had suggested that the device will be unwrapped at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
However, Samsung has historically avoided making major announcements at this event.
Korean news site Naver, which is run by former Samsung employees, revealed that the new device will be making its debut at Mobile World Congress event in February after a mid-January teaser.
When it comes to the specs in the Samsung S5, rumours suggest it will feature a 16-megapixel camera, a new optical stabilisation feature and a Samsung Exynos processor to replace the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip present in the previous iteration.
Samsung fans may also see an all-metal case added to the S5 to replace the traditional plastic favoured by the South Korean manufacturer.
