You'd imagine, as a successful mobile phone company, that Samsung would have a range of people who are experienced and intelligent enough to decide how best to implement the firm's technology. However, it appears that this isn't true as the South Korean manufacturer has sought outside its paid staff to come up with its latest idea.
Samsung has launched a competition to appeal to everyday users. The company will pay the successful person $10,000 (£6,400) to tell them how they should implement flexible screens in its devices. There is also a second and third prize up for grabs for lucrative ideas.
Applicants will be judged on the importance of the bendy screen technology as well as the product, design, realistic hardware assumptions and how viable it is as a business venture. The contest is open until October 6th and it'll be interesting to see what the average Joes can come up with.
