More speculation regarding the imminent Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phone has started to circulate since the manufacturer unveiled an impressive octa-core processor.
The Exynos 5 Octa CPU was demonstrated at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013, motivating rumours that it will be included in the next-generation handset.
Top-of-the-range smartphones currently on the market, like the Samsung Galaxy S3, tend to feature a quad-core processor, so this innovation represents a vast improvement.
If the device does utilise this powerful processor, owners are likely to benefit from speedy and smooth performance as well as impressive multitasking capabilities.
Rumours also suggest that the S4 handset will continue the growing trend for larger screen sizes by opting for a five-inch display, which is likely to sport FHD resolution.
The latest version of the Android operating system, Jelly Bean 4.2, could be pre-installed on the device – currently, only the Google Nexus 4 utilises this software.
