Gadget lovers across the UK are seemingly extremely eager to hear about the Galaxy S4 mobile phone, which is expected to debut at the Samsung Unpacked event on March 14th.
Speculation has been rife about the release following the huge success of its predecessor, the Galaxy S3, which won numerous awards and sold more than 40 million units.
Experian Hitwise has recently recorded a 30 per cent rise in the number of search engine requests concerning the smartphone, according to TechRadar.
The source also reports that Expansys has noticed "overwhelming" interest in the forthcoming release from consumers who have been able to pre-register their intention to buy.
A number of leaks suggest that the mobile phone could feature a 3D camera, energy-efficient PHOLED screen and eight-core processor.
Official details should be unveiled soon, but upgrades to the battery, processor, internal memory and camera are very likely.
It is also probable that the device will be equipped with the latest version of Google's operating system, Android Jelly Bean 4.2.
