The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been awarded Phone of the Year at the T3 gadget awards 2012.
The device's 4.8-inch HD display, eight-megapixel camera, 2,100 mAh battery and quad-core processor have already impressed customers, as the Korean company sold 20 million units within 100 days of its release.
It has also been well-received by critics, as the gadget scooped the Mobile Choice Phone of the Year award last week.
Judges from T3, Sky News, MSN, TechRadar and The Telegraph determined that the smartphone was superior to others on the shortlist, like the iPhone 4S, HTC One X and Nokia Lumia 900.
Perhaps the biggest S3 competitor, Apple's iPhone 5, was released too late to be included in the competition.
If rumours are true, Samsung may be up for the prize again in 12 months with the release of the Galaxy S3 Mini or next-generation S4.
Highly-anticipated gadgets like the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X are also likely to feature on the 2013 shortlist.
