Samsung's Galaxy S3 has been named Phone of the Year at the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2012.
The Android-powered mobile phone dominated the competition, with judges choosing it as the winner and 44 per cent of the 26,500 voters picking the device.
Mobile Choice's website says the handset, which sold over 20 million units within 100 days of going on sale, has "butter-smooth performance, easy-to-use interface and innovative smart tech".
The South Korean company also scooped Manufacturer of the Year after releasing other successful Galaxy-line devices like the Note and Ace 2.
The HTC One X won the category for Best Video Phone. Next year, Nokia could claim the award as its upcoming Lumia 920 has innovative technological advances to its camera.
For those looking to buy a more affordable handset, Mobile Choice would suggest the Best Value Phone Sony Xperia U.
The Japanese manufacturer sells the mobile phone, with a 3.5-inch screen, five-megapixel camera and 1 GHz dual-core processor, for £179.
