Following the announcement at the IFA trade show in Berlin earlier this month, Samsung has confirmed that the general on sale release date for the Galaxy Note 4 will be October 10th. It will be available from September 19th to pre-order from certain stores.
Getting rid of its predecessor’s plastic design, the Galaxy Note 4 comes with a metal frame and a higher quality of glass, making the device’s 5.7 inch Quad HF display clearer and more vibrant.
The Galaxy Note 4 is the perfect handset for those who are constantly on the go and often doing more than one thing at a time given its full, split or pop-up screens which also allows the user to change the size and position with just a simple swipe.
Camera-wise, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 4 will include a powerful 16-megapixel camera with Smart OIS (optical image stabiliser), which will put an end to any blurry shots that are the result of shaky hands. The camera also features real-time HDR which will bring out the brightness and colour even more, and for those who love a good old selfie, it also has a wider angle shot.
The Galaxy Note 4’s charging feature and ultra power saving mode is also impressive, and means that the device has a longer battery life and will also charge faster than previous models.
Samsung has certainly been busy lately, with the greatly anticipated Galaxy Alpha going on sale last Friday. However, it faces stiff competition from Apple, who will be release the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which saw pre-sales hit a record of four million on the first day.
