Pixld is a new Apple iOS mobile phone game which has been developed by the co-creator of the popular Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 video game, Portal.
Kim Swift worked with Valve Corporation on the puzzle-platformer, but has since joined Airtight Games which developed titles like Quantum Conundrum.
The developer is now delving into the mobile phone games field, with Airtight Mobile, and its debut is a puzzle game called Pixld.
Players are required to flip squares to create matching blocks of colour. Easy to pick up and play puzzle games like this, which allow levels to be completed quickly, are popular on portable devices.
Many owners like to be able to kill a few minutes playing a mobile phone game, while waiting for the bus, for example.
For this reason, games like Angry Birds, Bejewelled and Temple Run have been successful on the App Store.
Rumours are that Pixld will be available for download on iPhone handsets from September 29th, for 69 pence.
