Such is the wide variety of uses for mobile phones these days that people can use their smart devices in order to entertain and educate their young children.
The huge range in the number of applications available to people downloading programmes allows children to understand technology at a much younger age than has ever been seen before.
This is according to TV technology expert Ella Williamson, who suggested that being able to entertain and educate children on the go is something that technology is really moving towards.
“If you handed your smartphone to a three-year-old, it’s astonishing how they can navigate all around the different functions, how they can use games and how intuitive it is for them,” she continued.
Such is the popularity of downloading applications for smartphones or tablets that recent research conducted by Flurry showed that in the last week of December 2011 there were 1.2 billion apps downloaded on the devices, which is a one-week record.
