E-commerce continues to play a big role in people’s lives, and with smartphones taking centre stage many could be on the hunt for their perfect shopping companion.
New research from Globalwebindex has revealed that 27 per cent of people use their device to search for a product or a service.
This could include watching embedded videos or reading guides and reviews before completing their purchase.
Furthermore, 22 per cent of people then go on to buy goods through their smartphone device.
It stands to reason that websites which are optimised for mobile and have excellent security features will prove to be more popular than those that do not.
However, the UK is not the leader when it comes to product purchases via a smartphone, with 26 per cent of Swedes shopping in this manner, and 23 per cent of Polish people doing the same, with Britons coming third.
