There's good news for those who want to to buy a OnePlus 2 smartphone, as the company behind it has scrapped their exclusive invite system for this model.
Much like Spotify before it, mobile phone manufacturer OnePlus 2 used to operate an invite system to encourage new users to buy into its products.
However, those who are interested in picking up a OnePlus 2 model will now be able to buy a smartphone without having to register first.
The OnePlus X model is currently on the last of its three invite-free days, but it will be available without an invite during open sales, which will be a once-a-week occurrence.
Details on the specific times when you can pick up an invite-free OnePlus X model are to be found on the brand's own website.
The partial scrapping of OnePlus' invite system is largely thanks to the brand's second birthday celebrations.
Not keen to limit its second year partying, the brand will also be offering discounts across its accessories and StyleSwap covers.
If you already own a OnePlus One phone, you'll benefit from a 90 per cent discount on selected accessories for this model.
Those who are keen to redeem this extra special offer from OnePlus, will be rewarded with a free "Never Settle" mousepad.
Speaking on the special offers for the brand's birthday, co-founder Carl Pei wrote on the OnePlus forums saying: "The invite system has been crucial to letting us scale our operations and has given our fans a unique way to share OnePlus with the people in their lives."
He continued on to say that the brand is continuously working to "enhance the OnePlus experience" for its customers.
Mr Pei stressed that OnePlus works hard to improve its services for the benefit of their customer base.
As an example of these customer-focused improvements Mr Pei wrote saying: "That's why we're making the OnePlus2 invite-free… forever."
