Nokia has confirmed that its latest round of updates for the Lumia range of mobile phones has started to roll out to users.
The Lumia Amber download will start to reach all Windows Phone 8 owners and brings quite a noticeable update for the imaging quality of the devices and gets all the handsets up to speed with the Lumia 1020.
It will improve image processing, noise reduction, colour reproduction, exposure control, autofocus and better performance in low-light, according to Nokia. The download will also bring the Nokia Smart Camera app which we first saw on the Lumia 925.
Other than the camera features, the Amber update allows all Lumia users to have the new Glance Screen functionality on board which shows a clock, battery and tells users when the phone is in silent mode when the device is locked.
It also allows users to activate the silent profile by flipping the device over and tapping the screen twice will unlock the smartphone.
