Nokia has announced that its email access service will now support Windows Live Hotmail.
The Nokia Messaging product will also be available on the new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic touchscreen device.
Free to download and set up, the service already supports other popular email accounts such as Yahoo! Mail, Gmail and AOL Mail.
Up to ten email accounts can be added to the mobile phone, allowing the user to access messages on the move.
The company’s products vice president Atif Hussein explained that usability and simplicity are key to email adoption in mobiles.
"While offering people a full feature set, Nokia Messaging still minimizes user actions and simplifies the complex, such as eliminating the need to know technical information," he said.
The company also today (April 1st) announced a partnership with Heroes creator and executive producer Tim Kring.
He will work to develop content for the Ovi Store, which opens in May and will offer Nokia customers a range of targeted media.
