With the popularity of Apple devices going through the roof in recent weeks because of the launch of the iPad 3, it is no wonder that Nokia is working feverishly on its own tablet.
The iPad 3 was released amid great excitement among consumers across the world, so much so that shipments of pre-orders on the device have had to be delayed by as much as two weeks because of the huge demand.
Design chief of Nokia Marko Ahtisaari said in an interview with Finnish magazine Kauppalehti Optio the firm is spending a third of its time on trying to create a tablet that would stand out among all over competitors in the market.
A company spokesman confirmed on Thursday (March 15th) that the firm is keeping a keen eye on the tablet space with interest but will make specific announcements when it is ready.
