The creation of the Nokia C7 mobile phone was a lengthy and tricky process, with developers attempting to produce a model that would please as many potential users as possible.
However, one area they were in agreement over prioritising from the outset was the importance of text messaging.
Writing the latest Nokia Conversations blog, author James notes the comments of product manager Tim Allen, the man behind the C7.
He says it was crucial that texting capabilities were spot on, so the touchscreen and response were tailored to match the expected patterns of use by owners.
As such, those who often correspond with friends and family through written words alone may find they have a lot to gain by trading-in a mobile phone and switching to the recently-released Nokia model.
The Finnish brand has also been in the news recently for launching its N8 device, which is slightly more expensive and hi-tech than the C7.
