Motorola has been the centre of a number of reports coming out of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014, including one that the company will be launching a smartwatch soon. However, the latest offering indicates that the manufacturer will be producing a new mobile phone very soon.
As well as holding a press event at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona, the company also invited fans to ask them questions on Twitter, which the firm then answered. One asked about when we could expect to see an update of the Moto X handset.
Motorola wrote: "A: Keep posted – hint – late summer."
Obviously, the reply doesn't give much information about what Motorola may have in the works but, as the company has recently swapped hands from Google to Lenovo, it's likely that the company itself isn't certain of the plans ahead just yet.
However, there was no real question that Motorola would bring a new edition of the Moto X out at some point, it just remains to see when.
