Mobile phone recycling schemes could be in place at businesses that want to upgrade to video call-enabled handsets.
Organisations can often overcome difficulties such as transport problems by using modern-day technology, IP Multimedia, Virgin Media Business said.
Senior product manager Alistair McKinnon said he was surprised that more firms do not take advantage of technology like video call-enabled mobile phones.
He said employees who need to have face-to-face meetings and use video calls "find they work far more closely as a team in the same ways as team working in the same office".
Productivity increases and the technology makes people more approachable and easier to contact.
"Technologies are really good to help out when the problems occur, but also they are improving productivity on a day-to-day basis," Mr McKinnon added.
Orange recently told businesses that embracing new technology such as mobile phones could help boost flexible working.
