Lovers of the great outdoors may be among the most suited to Nokia’s vast range of mobile phones and handheld technology.
Rhiain, writing the brand’s Conversations blog, explains the benefits of a trio of apps designed to help people explore the world around them.
The first of these is ViewRanger GPS, which the author notes is an “enormously powerful tool for exploring” that can be used to keep track of a route and view paths taken by others.
Explorers Tracker is another app recommended by Rhiain, with this feature offering a combination of outdoor guide and expedition log book.
Finally, the expert suggests a free function known as OpenTable, which allows users to book a table at a restaurant, as well as view information, menu details and a route to their chosen eatery.
Nokia was in 2007 named the world’s fifth-most valuable brand, while in 2005 it reached the landmark figure of one billion mobile sales.
