Motorola Mobility's RAZR MAXX – the device that gives the longest talk time of any smart mobile phone – is set to be released on to the European market next month.
The battery life of the handset can deliver up to 17.6 hours of talk time, which ensures that people on the go won't have to spend a day away from plugs worrying whether the phone will have enough juice to last.
Its 1GB RAM combined with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and Android operating system also beefs up the specification of the device.
The battery life of the handset will be a relief to consumers as research from energy firm E.ON earlier this year found that one in five Britons leave their handsets plugged in for longer than they have to.
They do this as they are worried the mobile phone's battery won't be able to last a full day.
Vice president and general manager of mobile devices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Motorola Mobility Maurizio Angelone said of the smartphone: "RAZR MAXX isn't changing the rules – it's creating a whole new game."
