Consumers currently thinking of trading in an old mobile and replacing it with an iPhone 4 should not be put off by reports of a signal fault with the revolutionary device.
That is the view of Flora Graham, mobile phones editor at CNET UK, who says the new model is "fantastic".
While Ms Graham admits an error with the amount of signal it displays is "something Apple needs to look at", she is keen to point out it "doesn’t really matter".
This is because "it’s so fantastic at everything else it does", including its email, internet and apps services.
The expert also wonders whether reports of the problem have been exaggerated in an attempt to knock down a mobile that has been hitting the headlines recently.
Apple last week admitted the fault, stating the technology used to read how much signal a phone has is "totally wrong" as it often displays more than is really available.
