Speakers of foreign languages in Britain and across the world may be interested in trading-in their mobile phones and switching to an Android device, after Google announced a widespread enhancement of one of its tools.
Google Instant is now available in 28 languages and in 40 different nations, explains software engineer Steve Kanefsky, writing for the search engine's Mobile Blog.
The update works with mobiles that run on Android 2.2+ operating systems or those attached to iOS 4.
Users need only to go to www.google.com and click on the Google Instant link that can be found just below the search box in order to benefit from the changes.
The tool works by making predictions and showing actual search results as a person seeks information via the search engine.
In a post for the blog last month, Mr Kanefsky noted the technology was ideal for desktops but could be even more beneficial to mobile customers.
