Dr Windsor Holden, a member of the Future Mobile Awards judging panel, said in a Juniper Research press release that it appeared obvious that Apple would win the accolade as soon as the iPhone 3G entered the marketplace.
"The combination of a handset with a wonderful UI and music player and an easily accessible, user-friendly music store is irresistible," he remarked.
Dr Holden, a principal analyst at Juniper Research, recently authored a report into the mobile music market that was published earlier this month.
His area of expertise lies in the mobile phone content, digital television and emerging telecommunications industries.
Users could earn up to £205 by selling their iPhone 3G 16GB for recycling to Mazuma Mobile.
