The use of mobile internet is higher than ever before, perhaps resulting in some people wondering whether they may be best off selling used phones.
Research by Carphone Warehouse has found that while more people are going online via a handset, many believe the cost is too high – something that could be remedied by switching to an alternative tariff and model.
Indeed, the number of web users is now 69 per cent up on two years ago and 64 per cent admit they access the internet on their mobiles while with friends.
However, 58 per cent also believe the service is too costly and would like to see charges for visiting Facebook, Twitter and other sites come down.
Carphone Warehouse recently launched an unlimited data tariff that is available from £12 a month.
Juniper Research recently suggested another trend that is growing among mobile users is entertainment, with sales of apps, audio and video set to rise by 15 per cent this year.
