It’s almost certain that Samsung will release a follow-up mobile phone to its successful Galaxy S4 – presumably called the Galaxy S5.
However, when exactly we will see the handset and what it will look like is being heavily disputed all over the internet at the moment. It was rumoured that we could see the Samsung smartphone as early as January, but new reports squash this idea.
According to ET News who spoke with unknown sources in the industry, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will go into production in January rather than being released. This would mean that a likely launch date would be around March or April 2014.
It is thought that up to one million devices will be made during this first month, with the figure rising to six million before the end of February. It’s possible that the launch date could be pushed back until May, meaning that it will be following the Samsung Galaxy S4, which launched in May this year.
