Gadget lovers could soon be able to purchase mobile phones like the LG Nexus 4 and tablets such as the Nexus 7 at a dedicated Google store.
The technology giant is apparently planning to bring retail spaces to metropolitan areas in the US by Christmas, an "extremely reliable" source told 9 to 5 Google.
There is no indication whether the firm will do the same in the UK, but success is likely to encompass global expansion.
British consumers can already visit branded zones in PC World stores, but devoted establishments are likely to offer a superior range of products.
Google may also take a tact similar to Apple by equipping its staff with extensive knowledge about gadgets which helps consumers to make a well informed purchase decision.
