Inclusion of the next generation Intel Atom processor could provide the new Lenovo K900 mobile phone with top-of-the-range performance.
A powerful chip may facilitate seamless multi-taking and faster load times, eliminating delays when switching between apps or playing games.
The Chinese manufacturer also directs focus to its camera technology, which will appeal to those users who frequently share snaps with friends through apps like Facebook and Instagram.
A 13-megapixel main snapper means users can take high-quality photographs suitable for printing, and an F1.8 focal length lens provides a wide aperture for crisp pictures in low light.
The front-facing camera, which is ideal for self-portraits and video calls, has a wider viewing angle, meaning framing is far easier.
Photographs should look fantastic on the 5.5-inch, FHD IPS screen too, as should movies, games and web pages.
Senior vice president at Lenovo Liu Jun said: “With the K900, our team has broken down the key functions of the smartphone and redesigned them from the ground up.”
