Rumours about the Huawei Ascend P6 were just that until earlier in the week when leaks emerged on the proposed mobile phone.
Notorious industry insider @evleaks tweeted a photo and labelled it the "Huawei Ascend P6, 2013". This was then backed-up by a Huawei executive who accidentally revealed a possible launch date for the device.
Huawei device chairman Richard Yu reportedly confirmed that the device is part the bigger P range and will be unveiled at the company's corporate event in London on June 18th.
He then swiftly deleted the message, but not before the internet picked up on it and quickly spread it around.
The Huawei Ascend P6 first surfaced last month from China's version of the FCC, which suggested it would carry Android Jelly Bean, 2GB of RAM and a five megapixel camera but other leaks have since suggested it may not be too accurate.
If the corporate information is correct then we won't have too long until we hear more about the upcoming device with the event only being a few weeks away.
