Although a number of big names in the smartphone world are pushing up the megapixels, it appears as though Apple will focus on quality instead of pixel count.
According to Apple Insider, which got in touch with "people familiar with the matter", the Cupertino company is going to stick with its eight-megapixel offering for the iPhone 6. This will make it the fifth smartphone from the American manufacturer to bring the low pixel count.
However, as many know, it's not all about megapixel count. Apple's iSight Camera technology has seen the iPhone's camera quality upgrade over time.
Regardless of whether the iPhone 6 brings eight-megapixels or not, Apple will ensure that the smartphone takes better shots than its predecessor in some way.
The iPhone 6 is expected to launch in June this year (2014), with various rumours suggesting that it will bring an innovative screen that will make it unbreakable.
