It has been called the make or break mobile phone for Apple but, after months of speculation and image leaks, the iPhone 5S has arrived.
Granted a lot of information has managed to slip through the net about the Cupertino company's next flagship device, however, people were still keen to see the official reveal at the firm's event in New York.
The name is no surprise and follows Apple's pattern for improved versions of its models. Although the shape and design is similar to the iPhone 5, the new device brings new colours; space grey and gold. It also brings an improved camera with a bigger sensor area and a new flash.
The big news for the iPhone 5S was the fingerprint scanner and it has materialised. The rumours were true, the reader is embedded under the home button and gives you a new way to unlock your smartphone. You don't even need to press it, just touch it. The sensor will also authorise iTunes purchases.
It appears Apple believes there is no time like the present as it should be on UK shelves from September 20th for at least £549 for a 16GB version.
