Orange has announced the launch of the latest model from the manufacturer behind the T Mobile G1.
The HTC Touch 3G has been made available on a number of tariffs from the network in an exclusive black finish that the network hopes will appeal to professionals and casual users.
It states the “eagerly anticipated” model boasts a 2.8-inch touchscreen and UMA call technology, but says it is the multimedia and office applications that could prove tempting for many.
Francois Mahieu, director of devices at Orange, said rapid access to email functions was something that most people now require and this particular phone delivers this.
“The HTC Touch 3G offers all this and more, helping businesses get more out of whatever they’re doing, wherever they are,” he added.
His comments could tempt those recycling mobile phones looking for a smartphone to replace their old model.
