Things are heating up in the phablet market as HTC prepares its own mega-screened mobile phone to rival the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Reports emerged earlier this week that the company is in the process of creating its own mega-device but indications have come from @evleaks to hint at what the HTC T6's specifications and features may be.
The South Korean company has dominated the Android market for a while but the emergence of the HTC One has chipped away at it and could do the same with Samsung's phablet influence.
Frequent tipster @evleaks indicated that the HTC T6 would sport a 5.9-inch full-HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB Ram, 16GB internal storage and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. It is also expected the device will keep the Boomspeakers and Ultrapixel camera.
However the really interesting part of this latest rumour is that the HTC T6 will come with a biometric-fingerprint reader which will unlock the handset as soon as you touch it.
Although no release dates have been indicated, the fact it will carry Key Lime Pie 5 may suggest it won't be seen until the end of the year.
