The mobile phone codenamed the HTC M8 is thought to be the highly-anticipated successor to the popular HTC One. A number of leaks have emerged about the device, including an expected release date.
Serial tipster @evleaks is up to his old tricks again saying that the US will get the device in quarter one of next year (2014). It's likely that the rest of the world will get the handset at around the same time.
Although it is not confirmed that the M8 will be the follow-up to the HTC One, it would make a lot of sense. The company's current flagship was internally known as the M7 before it got its official name for release.
The release date also fits in with HTC's current smartphone. The leak suggests that the new device would arrive in quarter one of 2014 and the firm launched the One in March.
It remains unclear whether the HTC M8 would be a refreshed version of the HTC One or a brand new sequel to the device.
