HTC has launched a gold edition of its flagship mobile phone – the One – just in time for the Christmas rush.
This isn't the first time that the company has offered a gold edition of its popular HTC One. Earlier in the year, the firm released an 18 carat gold version of the model, which was fairly well received, despite its eye-watering price tag.
However, this special Christmas version won't be made out of real gold like its predecessor. Instead, HTC will be give the One a brushing of gold with black trimmings for a more affordable version.
It is thought that the golden HTC One will make it across to Europe in time for Christmas, with the UK expected to be one of its main markets. At the moment, it remains unclear how much the special edition will cost, or what networks will offer the smartphone.
