HTC has confirmed that a delay has been caused with releasing the HTC One mobile phone by slow camera production.
The company's chief marketing officer Benjamin Ho confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that it was the reason for the late arrival.
He said: "There is some shortage, because the phone's camera was specifically designed for us, and production cannot be ramped up quickly."
The swanky new UltraPixel camera in the HTC One uses fewer, larger pixels to allow more light for richer pictures, especially in low light conditions.
HTC issued a statement earlier this month saying it had received an "unprecedented demand" for its new handset and promised that the delay would be worth the wait, as the care put into producing the product was being noted from people who had got their hands on the device already.
The handset should be in UK stores this week, which is before the likes of North America, who will get the device before the end of next month.
