Google has blown out the candles on its first anniversary cake which has celebrated the successful first year of its Play store.
The facility is present on Android smartphones and tablets, letting mobile phone owners access apps, games, music, books, films and magazines.
To commemorate the landmark, Google has launched a sale of downloads with many items being available for free.
"Since the best parties are the ones that send you home with a present, today we celebrate our birthday with a festive goodie bag full of gifts. It's been an incredible first year and we look forward to sharing the gift of digital diversions for many more to come," a post on the Play store read.
Among the items included in a section of Google Play to celebrate the anniversary are movies The Bourne Identity (£1.50) and 21 Jump Street (£3.49) and games Need for Speed Most Wanted (£1.50) and The Sims (free).
