People who suffer with food allergies may like to consider selling their old mobile in order to upgrade to an iPhone so they can download a new app.
Kim Maes developed the Cook IT Allergy Free app after her son and husband were diagnosed with coeliac disease.
The application has hundreds of formulas featuring gluten-free dishes, or those without eggs, dairy, nuts and soy.
It is hoped the app will help individuals spend less time looking for recipes suitable for those with coeliac disease, food allergies or autism.
New recipes and meal suggestions are continually being added to the app and mobile users can customise and save their own recipes.
iPad users can also download the app from the Apple Store.
All users have to do is to pick any recipe included in the app and then choose what ingredients they want to avoid and a suitable substitute will be listed.
Last week, Legal & General launched a panic alarm application designed to keep mobile users safe when they are out and about.
